Work With the Curate          Searching for Writers

Looking for paid writers to contribute 1-4 devotionals for an upcoming project.

Easter in the Wilderness is a collaborative audio devotional series—similar to a daily mini-podcast—created for those who find themselves moving through the Easter season still feeling “stuck” in the wilderness of Lent for a variety of reasons.

The series will consist of short, recorded daily devotionals offering affirmation, encouragement, directed prayer, or a spiritual exploration of the experiences or context that make us feel displaced, weary, or unresolved during a season traditionally marked by celebration.

All episodes will be released together and made available for purchase at launch. While the devotionals are designed for daily listening, users are free to listen in any order or at their own pace.

Contributor Roles

Potential collaborators may participate in one of two ways:

  • Full Contributors write and record (“read/perform”) their own devotional episodes.

  • Text Only Contributors write devotional episodes that are recorded and performed by a separately contracted individual.

Each episode will begin with an introduction of the writer and may conclude with an optional brief promotional mention directing listeners to learn more about the contributor, should the writer choose.

Compensation

This is a paid project, with contributor compensation provided through a royalty structure based on sales. Detailed information regarding royalty rates and payment schedules will be provided to interested contributors.

Recording Expectations for Full Contributors

Full Contributors are responsible for recording their own episodes but are not expected to edit or produce the audio. A rough recording of acceptable sound quality is sufficient, even if it includes multiple takes or cuts. All sound editing and production will be handled by a separate audio engineer.
